JULIE FRISCHKNECHT LARSEN, D.N.P.

Biography

She spent several years caring for critically ill patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit as well as being on the Trauma Service caring for traumatically inured patients in the Emergency Department and in the Neuro Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit. While on the Trauma Service, she managed numerous patients with extensive face and orbit injuries. Julie joined Utah Valley Eye Center in January of 2020.

Prior to completing her graduate degree at the “U,” Julie obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Weber State University in 2007 where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Academic High Honors and was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. She has two associates degrees, one from Weber State University and one from Snow College where she was on the Dean’s List and was featured on the “Top 40 under 40” list in 2018. Julie has enjoyed going back to the University of Utah on occasion to be a guest lecturer for the Doctor of Nursing program.

In addition to her acute care experience, Julie also has multiple certifications for injectables. These include the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics – Injection/Filler Essentials, Allergen Epic injector Training Program, and Xeomin Training Essentials.

Julie grew up in Manti, Utah and currently resides in Lehi with her husband and three children. She enjoys running, hiking, snowshoeing, tennis, skiing and anything outdoors.
