DR. JOE R. HAGGARD, O.D.

Biography

Joe Haggard, O.D. was born and raised in Peru, Indiana. Dr. Haggard majored in Zoology at Brigham Young University. While attending BYU he fell in love with the mountains and the western lifestyle.

Following his education at BYU, Dr. Haggard attended Optometry School at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. He then completed internships through General Optometry, Contact Lenses, Pediatrics, and a center for physically and sexually abused children.

He and his wife Becky are the parents of four daughters and one son and have ten grandchildren. Dr. Haggard’s passion to be a cowboy brought him to Utah again where he lives with his family. He enjoys photography, and vacations to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he loves to spend time photographing the Teton Mountains, and to the beaches of Florida. Dr. Haggard is board certified in Optometry by the American Optometric Association. He has been in practice with Utah Valley Eye Center since 1989.
