Three 30-Day Streaming Options for COVID-19 Stay Home, Stay, Safe
Is anyone else getting cabin fever? We certainly are, as we work to keep Governor Herbert’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe,” directive in an attempt to lighten the long-term burden of COVID-19 on Utah. With the number of people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Utah still jumping at an exponential rate, sometimes it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
We’ve put together a list of the best deals for streaming for you as a way to pass the time whilst we wait for the crisis to end and move away from our homes and families. Please note that this list is subject to change without notice and that Utah Valley Eye doesn’t receive any compensation from these companies for featuring them here.
Below, please find three services for free 30-day trials with some of the leaders in streaming today.
CBS All Access
CBS All Access is home to over 40,000 television episodes and full-length films, all hosted on the app. Normally, the trial period for this service is only 7 days. For a limited time, with the code ALL entered upon registration will yield a 30-day trial period, so you will have plenty of time to binge watch shows that are otherwise unavailable without subscribing. “Picard,” anyone? The trial membership must be cancelled before the trial is complete, and you can do it right after you register. You will keep access for the entire month. The regular subscription rate starts at $5.99/month ($9.99/month for ad free). Students at a qualified college or university may be eligible for a student membership, saving 25 percent off regular price.
Remember – you must cancel the service during the 3-day trial or you will be charged. No refunds if you forget.
Showtime and Starz on Roku
For those with a Roku streaming device, you can get a free 30-day trial of Showtime or Starz. To do so, add the channels through the Roku Channel Store. As with CBS All Access, you need to cancel these services before the trial is complete to avoid being charged.
Note: Currently, Starz has several promotions that you might prefer to check out. One of them is as a channel on Prime Video. Should you subscribe on Prime Video, you can receive the special pricing of $5/month for three months. You still need to cancel before the term of the special pricing ends to avoid being billed the full price. Starz also is offering a 6-month subscription to its service for a 6-month subscription for $24.99. This deal can be found at: (https://www.starz.com/us/en/signup).
There are several good options available for those who are looking for some variety to their streaming during the next several weeks to come. Don’t forget to set up your LASIK Surgery in our Provo practice. Your stimulus check can even go to help cover your Provo Lasik Surgery!
