Easy ways to maintain your eye-ware
We all love being able to see. But glasses and contacts can become cloudy and hard to see out of. Taking care of your eyewear can help you avoid this and prolong the eyewar’s life.
Glasses
Try to clean your glasses once a day. This is the best way to keep your glasses in good condition. It will also help prevent your glasses from wearing, and let you see clearly with the full power of your prescription. Cleaning with some glasses cleaner and a wipe can keep your lenses mostly clear but taking time to fully wash them will keep your glasses in good condition.
Step 1: Wash your hands
Step 2: Run the glasses under warm water
Step 3: Put a small drop of dishwasher detergent or lotion free laundry detergent on your finger and rub it across the lens to make a lather.
Step 4: Repeat step 3 on both sides of each lens
Step 5: Using the same lather clean the frame, including the nose pads.
Step 6: Rinse glasses thoroughly with warm water
Step 7: Dry with a clean cotton cloth, not a cotton tee-shirt
Contacts
Contacts should only be worn during the day unless your doctor has said otherwise. Keep them in a clean case with contact solutions when they are not in your eyes. Rinse your case after every use to keep it clean.
Step 1: Wash your hands using warm water and soap
Step 2: Clean your contacts by rubbing your contact in the palm of your hand using your fingers on your other hand, then rinse with contact solution
Step 3: Soak the contacts in your clean case
Step 4: Wash your hands before putting the contacts back in
We want you to keep your eyewear in the best condition. Keep them looking good and clean until you can get an Orem Lasik surgery.
