What is Dry Eye?

Our eyes are an amazing blessing in our life and it is very important that we take good care of them. Without them we wouldn’t be able to see the beauty of our world. There are many things that can go wrong with our eyes and one condition is called dry eye. Dry eye is a condition where your eye does not produce enough tears to nourish itself. 

 

There are many symptoms that can indicate if you have dry eyes. These include: your eye stinging and burning, blurred vision especially when reading, your eyes are red or irritated, if there are strings of muscle in or around your eye, and if there is a scratchy feeling in your eye.

If you wear contacts and it is painful to wear them that could mean that you have dry eyes. Most contact wearers experience dry eyes at some point.
