Eye care is so important and we want you to keep your eyes in their best shape. It is important that you get regular eye checkups to make sure everything is good but it is also very important that you do your part in caring for your eyes. There are many things that you can do on a daily basis to care for your eyes. Keeping your eyes in the best shape can help you with your vision your entire life. Here I will list some things that you should do to help care for and how to protect your eyes. 

 

  1. If you are smoking, quit. Smoking is not good for your eyes and can really damage them. If you smoke you are more likely to get cataracts and molecular degeneration. If you are trying to stop it, keep it up and remember that if you ever need any help there are people here for you, especially your doctor.

 

  1. Believe it or not but the food you eat can affect your eyes. There are many different nutrients in our food that can help with visions like: zinc, vitamin C and E, and omega-3. Stick to eating healthier foods and your eyes will thank you for it. 

 

  1. The summer is almost upon us and that means it is sunglasses season but you need to make sure that you use them. Sunglasses are there to protect your eyes from the sun’s UV rays.   1. It is always a good idea to wear protective gear when working on projects or playing certain sports that could lead to eye injuries. Just make sure that you take the proper safety precautions and protect your eyes.
